A Success Story of an Italian guy with a Gelato passion.

Giuseppe Scognamiglio is the owner of Cono Gelato, a little company producing and selling artisan gelato in Perth through a Katerina 6 Slim.

His slogan is “One step at the time“, but in big style since after just 1 year he won the Perth Royal Food Award in 3 different categories:

• Gelato Champion
• Dairy product
• Overall Champion

His passion started when he was 16, during a summer job he enjoyed learning how to make gelato. But only in 2015 he decided to move from Italy to Australia with the objective to open his Gelato business. He finally did it in 2021, he bought a Katerina P6 Slim and started operating in festivals, weddings and private events.

This year Joe won the Perth Royal Food Award in 3 different categories with his flavour named Amalfi coast and dedicated to his italian origins. His is made with Ricotta, Lemon zest and amaretti biscuits.

Joe has chosen a Katerina P6 Slim to create his business. Thanks to his cart he can easily operate in festivals, weddings and private events.

“I did not started my business with a local shop, I wanted to make few step at the time. Actually we work with a cart imported from a Sicilian company who tailor made it for us”
